Day 1: Wakecup Tour by Experiencia Cafetera Coffee Tour:
WakecupTour by Experiencia Cafetera is an experience that invites travellers and coffee producers to exchange their knowledge about coffee.
During the day we will visit a traditional coffee farm where we will be able to witness the entire coffee process, how it starts off as seeds and ends up in your cup. We will have a colombian lunch at the farm and then we will return to Pijao, where we will visit key places within the coffee distribution and consumption chain. We will visit El Patio, where we will learn about medicinal plants that are used all around the world as we enjoy a natural infusion for our wellness. We will walk around town, meet picturesque characters and we’ll finish off with coffee tasting, sampling different delicious types of coffees from the region. This experience will unravel a whole new perspective of coffee for you to see, no matter your previous knowledge on the subject.

Day 2: Birdwatching or Horseback Riding:
You can choose between these two activities.
Birdwatching
In Quindío, the smallest department in Colombia, we are amazed when we discover a new bird species. A lot of these species are known by their common name like the Barranquero (momotus momota), the Bichofue (pitagus sulphuratus), the Pechiamarillo (tolmomyias flaviventris). In our region we can find 642 species to this date.
With a guide in our hands and binoculars, we will wake up very early to witness this natural beauty. These birds will make us one of their own.

Horseback Riding
Takes the opportunity of a romantic and relaxing ride, that provides the possibility of transiting submerged roads as a couple in the middle of the mountains, rivers and birds from the region.
Includes: Guidance, hydration and transportation.
Duration: 2 hours.
Day 3: Salento and Cocora Valley Daytrip:
Salento is a cultural bridge between locals and foreigners that provides an exceptional exchange experience.
We will meet in this charming town to take the road towards the legendary Cocora Valley. Once we’re there, we’ll take a hike where we can appreciate the landscape and the gorgeous wax palms, known for their great beauty and magnitude. After this, we will go back to the town where we can enjoy a delicious typical lunch, trout and fried plantain (specialty of this mythical town). We will have a stroll around Salento. The municipality is also recognized for its elaborate crafts that are offered along the Calle Real. After familiarizing ourselves a bit more with the town we will visit a coffee shop where we will chat and enjoy the softest coffee in the world. If you’re curious enough, the baristas of this region will happily answer any questions you might have about coffee and its preparation. This experience will make you a witness to the intrinsic natural beauty of this town.

Day 4: San Vicente Hot Springs
In Risaralda, right at the heart of the coffee region: Hot springs, nature, health, well being, adventure and inner peace, all can be found in this place in the natural reserve of San Vicente. Enjoy 6 different hot springs, a natural steam bath and an unique experience in a hot spring river.
Includes: Transportation, dinner, breakfast and lunch.
Lodging: CASA RIVERA DEL CACAO
Stay in a beautiful coffee house in the middle of the mountains of Quindío. The house is part of the Colombian Cultural Landscape Route. The hotel offers an exceptional Cacao tour that can be included, is optional is not included in the price.
